Alleen Kemalisme brengt enige prosperity.

Palestinian Holocaust Denial
Reuven Paz
ICT Academic Director
Reprinted with permission from PeaceWatch, The Washington Institute’s Special Reports On The Arab-Israeli Peace Process, No. 255, 21 April, 2000
Hamas (the Islamic Resistance Movement) has recently published a denial of the Jewish Holocaust on its official website. Although Hamas often uses anti-Jewish phrases, this publication marks the first time the organization has officially denied the Holocaust.
Background
In the 1940s in many parts of the Arab world, there was a great deal of sympathy toward Nazi Germany--but mostly on the grounds of strong anti-British hostility rather than support for Nazi racist doctrines. That said, the then-Palestinian national leader in exile, Haj Amin al-Husseini, sided openly with Nazi Germany and its doctrines, and assisted in recruiting a Muslim battalion of Bosnians for the Nazi war machine. Anti-Jewish riots occurred in Iraq under the pro-German regime of Rashid 'Ali al-Kailani, in Syria under the pro-German Vichy French government, and in Morocco and Tunisia under a combination of
Vichy rule and partial German occupation.
During the 1950s and 1960s, anti-Jewish sentiments were heard less in the Arab world, partly under the influence of the good relations that some Arab countries enjoyed with the Soviet Union, where the victory over Nazi Germany played an important ideological role. An additional factor was the emigration of most of the Jewish populations in these countries. More prominent were anti-Israeli or anti-Zionist themes.
The Holocaust is still an unknown issue to most Arabs; it rarely appears in textbooks or educational programs in most Arab
countries.
Arab Holocaust Deniers
In the 1990s, many of the Islamic social and political movements in the Arab world joined the resurgent trend of Holocaust denial among European anti-Semites. This was mainly the result and influence of the persistent activity in this field by Roger Gauroudi, a French scholar and leading European anti-Semite. Gauroudi, a former Christian Marxist and French Communist Party member of the French parliament, converted to Islam following the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran. He soon became a prominent figure in promoting anti-Semitism among Islamic movements. But since he was known for his anti-Jewish writings
as a Marxist too, he gained the support of many Arab circles beyond the Islamic movements. When he was put on trial and convicted in France for Holocaust denial several years ago, his popularity in Arab and Islamic countries increased. Even the Islamic official establishments in Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, and the Palestinian Authority (PA) supported him. For instance, in 1997, Al-Azhar, the official monthly of the highest Islamic religious authority in Egypt, published sympathetic articles supporting both Gauroudi and his ideas on Jews and Judaism.
Palestinian Anti-Semitism and Holocaust Denial
The Islamic establishment of the PA, headed by Shaykh 'Ikrimah Sabri, has taken a strong anti-Jewish tone, but it has so far not been accompanied by a denial of the Holocaust. Instead, the most common claims have been that Israel has used the same methods against the Palestinians as those used by the Nazi Germans against the Jews. Hamas, on the other hand, went much further in its 1988 charter, making a comparison between Jews and the Nazis. Many of Hamas's pamphlets have included severe anti-Semitic expressions not just against Israelis or Zionists, but against the Jews in general, with such phrases such as "sons of pigs and monkeys" being the most common. The official organ of the movement, the monthly London-based Filastin
al-Muslimah, frequently presents anti-Jewish arguments, usually on a religious basis.
But until this recent press release, Hamas had not denied the Holocaust, except perhaps in the leaflets issued by some of its local groups. The statement was released on the Hamas website in Arabic; it was not translated in the English section of the site, probably due to the Western resentment of such ideas. Hamas issued the press release in reaction to the Stockholm conference on the Jewish Holocaust, held in late January 2000, in which several heads of state and officials from many countries participated. The conference emphasized the need to fight the phenomenon of total or partial Holocaust denial by
political movements, historians, or anti-Semitic groups and individuals on an international level.
The Hamas press release represents an escalation in the organization's rhetoric and a hardening of its position toward Israel. But it is also important to view this statement in the context of the declining support by the Palestinian public for Hamas in general and the group's terrorist activity in particular.
An excerpt of this press release follows. It is taken from the official website of Hamas (www.palestine-info.org)(link werkt niet meer) and is translated from the original Arabic:
Following the special international conference in Stockholm concerning the alleged Jewish Holocaust during World War II, a senior leading member of The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas states the following:
This conference bears a clear Zionist goal, aimed at forging history by hiding the truth about the so-called Holocaust, which is an alleged and invented story with no basis. . . . The invention of these grand illusions of an alleged crime that never occurred, ignoring the millions of dead European victims of Nazism during the war, clearly reveals the racist Zionist face, which believes in the superiority of the Jewish race over the rest of the nations.
Not only does this attempt to focus on an alleged story ignore the suffering of our people and disregard the massacres committed by the Zionists against them, such as Dir Yasin, Kafr Qasem, Tanturah, Jerusalem, Hebron and Sabra and Shatila?not to mention the massacres committed by the enemy against the people of our nation, such as in Bahr al-Baqr and Qana, the killing of thousands of Egyptian captives, and so on?but the story itself has no proof. . . . The Zionist entity is using psychological and ideological terrorism through the Stockholm conference and the alleged Nazi Holocaust. . . .
We call the free scholars of the world and its vital forces to expose the crimes of global Zionism against our people, our nation, and against all human civilization, and to refute them and not to fear the hostility of the Jews and their ideological terrorism or their influence through which they shut mouths and prevent objective, unbiased scholars from revealing the Zionist claims as lies. By these methods, the Jews in the world flout scientific methods of research whenever that research contradicts their racist interests.

One of the two evils of history, when will people realise that they really are connected more deeply than they ever thought? Nazism is really not a recent 20th century phenomenon but something which has has several names, indeed no name for centuries. It is not that the Muslims have cottoned onto Nazism but rather that Nazism was already with them, it seems that maybe the Islamic world is the original Nazi Reich?
We are all living in very uncertain times, with some of the greatest and most dangerous beasts of history prowling around even in our own countries. Are our governments so weak that they cannot stop them or do they really want to stop them?
I feel that the 20th century with all it's suffering and conflict is fast becoming a futile attempt to stop the tide of the uncivilised, if the government does not act then maybe someone else may have to do, to override our governments, maybe a parallel, if not effective then symbolic to shake people out of their slumber. We also need to take the conflict to where it really originates, to Mecca. |

Joodse man doodgeschoten in Antwerpen
Niemand raakte toen gewond.

When Hitler became Abu Ali
By Julian Schvindlerman - June 7, 2002
Forty years ago last week, SS-Oberstumbannfuehrer Adolf Eichmann was executed in Israel. He had been arrested at the end of World War II and confined to an American internment camp, but he managed to escape to Argentina. He lived there for 10 years under the name Ricardo Klement until Israeli secret agents abducted him in 1960 and spirited him to Israel.
Eight months after his trial opened in Jerusalem, Eichmann was found guilty of crimes against humanity and the Jewish people and was sentenced to death. He was executed on May 31, 1962; his remains were cremated and the ashes scattered over the Mediterranean Sea -- outside Israeli waters. This is the only case in which the death penalty has been carried out in Israel.
Eichmann's record is notorious. He was the head of the Department for Jewish Affairs in the Gestapo from 1941 to 1945 and was chief of operations in sending three million Jews to the extermination camps. After the war, he became one of the most sought-out Nazi fugitives.
The international community condemned Israel's kidnapping of Eichmann, but it was nonetheless able to see the justice in, and legitimacy of, Israel's action. The trial itself, marked by strict adherence to legal procedure, elicited worldwide admiration, and the Nazi's execution was seen everywhere as a crucial vindication in the post-Holocaust era.
Everywhere, that is, but in the Arab world. There, Eichmann's capture, trial and execution were condemned, and Eichmann was venerated as a ''martyr.'' The Jordanian daily A-Ra' ai praised him for exterminating ''members of the race of dogs and monkeys.'' The Saudi periodical Al-Bilar saluted him for his courage. The Lebanese newspaper Al-Anwar published a cartoon lamenting the fact that the Nazi officer had not killed more Jews.
But let us view this Arab beatification of Eichmann in its proper historical context.
When Hitler took power in 1933, telegrams of congratulations were dispatched from Arab capitals. In 1937, Nazi Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels praised the Arabs' ''national and racial conscience,'' noting that ''Nazi flags fly in Palestine and they adorn their houses with Swastikas and portraits of Hitler.'' In 1943, Heinrich Himmler, the head of the SS, spoke highly of the ``natural alliance that exists between the National-Socialism of Great Germany and the freedom-loving Muslims of the world.''
HISTORICAL INVERSION
Pro-German parties and youth movements attuned to the trappings of National-Socialism sprouted in Syria, Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt. Even Nazi slogans were translated into Arabic. A Mideast song popular in the late 1930s crooned: ''No more Monsieur, no more Mister. In Heaven Allah, on Earth Hitler.'' The Fuehrer himself was even Islamicized under the new name of Abu Ali.
Love of Nazism spread like wildfire in the region. Among the many Nazi sympathizers at the time were Haj Amin al-Husseini, Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and president of the Arab Higher Committee; Ahmed Shukairi, first chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization; Gamal Abdel Nasser and Anwar Sadat, who became presidents of Egypt; Islamic fundamentalist leaders; and the founders of the Pan-Arab socialist Ba'ath party, currently ruling Syria and Iraq. (One Ba'ath leader proudly recounted: ``We were racists, admiring Nazism, reading their books and sources of their thought. We were the first who thought of translating Mein Kampf.'').
Praise for Hitler among Arabs did not vanish after the war. In 1965, a Moroccan commentator on Middle East affairs wrote this in the French magazine Les Temps Modernes: ``A Hitlerian myth is being cultivated on a popular level. Hitler's massacre of the Jews is eulogized. It is even believed that Hitler did not die. His arrival is longed for.''
In mid-2001, an Egyptian columnist wrote in the government-sponsored Al-Akhbar: ''Thank you, Hitler, of blessed memory, who on behalf of the Palestinians avenged in advance against the most vile criminals on Earth.'' Two months later, Egypt's Press Syndicate awarded this writer its highest distinction.
Since Hitler's ascent to power in 1933, the Arabs have been adulating Nazism. It seems that some things never change -- or perhaps some things do. Now the Arabs accuse the Jews of being Nazis. In this way, Hitler's loyal fans are equating the primary victims of his genocide with the Nazi executioners themselves.
The defining expression of chutzpah is a man who murders his parents and then begs the jury for pity on the grounds that he is an orphan. But the Arabs' perverse historical and moral inversion requires a new definition for the term. For chutzpah cannot sufficiently represent this incredible gall.

Holocaust denier admits links to bin Laden´s terrorist network
By Fredy Rom
BERN, Nov. 21 (JTA) A Holocaust denier has admitted having links to members of Osama bin Laden´s Al Qaida terror network.

Along with his activities as a denier, Ahmed Huber, 73, is believed to be a key figure in coordinating activities between Islamic extremists and European neo-Nazis.
In an interview with JTA, Huber admitted to having met in Beirut on several occasions with bin Laden followers, whom he described as "very intelligent and nice guys."
A well-known Holocaust denier, Huber helped plan a Holocaust revisionism conference that was slated for earlier this year in Beirut. The conference ultimately was cancelled because of international pressure.
Huber sits on the board of Al Taqwa, a financial company based in the Swiss city of Lugano. Earlier this month, President Bush issued a list of individuals and firms with suspected links to Al Qaida that included both Huber and Al Taqwa.
Huber denied that he or Al Taqwa have helped bin Laden but told JTA that he is proud to be on the list.
"President Bush is the biggest terrorist in the world," Huber said.
He also revealed that he plans to address a conference of Holocaust deniers that will be held soon in Tehran.
He added in the telephone interview that the Muslim holy war against Israel already has begun and that "no real Muslim will tolerate a Jewish state in Palestine."
After the list´s publication, Swiss officials detained two Arab financiers, Youssef Nada and Ali Himat, who were identified as the managing director and executive director of Al Taqwa. The company recently changed its name to Nada Management.
Also this month, Swiss officials and prosecutors in the principality of Liechtenstein took separate action to freeze bank accounts belonging to Al Taqwa.
The Swiss daily newspaper Blick and German Television had reports this week focusing on Huber´s role as a go-between for Islamic extremists and neo-Nazis.
In the Blick report, Huber said the greatest leaders of the 20th century were Hitler and Iran´s late Ayatollah Khomeini. Photos of the two hang in Huber´s office.
The report on German TV showed Huber attending a recent rally of Germany´s extreme right-wing National Democratic Party.
In October, members of the neo-Nazi party made their sympathies clear when they celebrated the Sept. 11 terror attacks against the United States during a demonstration in Berlin marking the 11th anniversary of German reunification.
In banners and speeches on Oct. 3, party members called the attacks against the World Trade Center and Pentagon a justified response to American policy, and protested Germany´s support for America´s war on terrorism.
Huber told JTA that he has been in contact with the National Democratic Party.
"They are brave people who understand that the Holocaust is a big lie," he said.

Shareholders in the Bank of Terror?
A previously unpublished list reveals that backers of a bank that the U.S. says helped fund al-Qaida include prominent members of the Arab world.

By Lucy Komisar
March 15, 2002 | According to an unpublished list obtained by Salon, the Al Taqwa bank, part of a network of financial companies named by the Bush administration as a major source and distributor of funds for Osama bin Laden's terrorist operations, has shareholders that include prominent Arab figures from numerous countries in the Middle East. Among the shareholders are the grand mufti of the United Arab Emirates and prominent families in the UAE and Kuwait. Two sisters of Osama bin Laden are also on the list, undermining the bin Laden family's claim that it separated itself from his terrorist pursuits after he was expelled from Saudi Arabia in 1994.
Ahmed Huber, a Swiss director of the bank who is a radical Islamist and Hitler admirer, acknowledged in 1995 that wealthy Saudi Arabians were large contributors to the Al Taqwa bank. The just-revealed list of shareholders demonstrates further connections between important individuals in moderate Middle Eastern countries and a financial network allegedly vital to bin Laden.
The FBI may have known who the shareholders were for as long as four years. There is also evidence that Swiss authorities have since the mid-1990s refused to cooperate with international intelligence inquiries into the bank's activities. Swiss officials have said they were aware of reports that Al Taqwa was connected to terrorist groups, but there was never sufficient evidence to merit a search warrant.
The names appear on an unpublished shareholders register of "Bank Al Taqwa" that reflects holdings as of December 1999. Bank Al Taqwa is based in the Bahamas; the Al Taqwa group (which changed its name to Nada Management Organization a year ago, after authorities began an investigation into its dealings) is headquartered in Lugano, Switzerland. In November, the U.S. named the Al Taqwa network a funnel for Bin Laden's al-Qaida financial network. Representatives of the bank have denied any involvement in terrorist activities.
____
The list has been confirmed as authentic by both U.S. officials and Al Taqwa. Michele Davis, spokeswoman for the Treasury Department, was shown the documents on March 13 and acknowledged, "We have the list. We are doing the same as you -- trying to find out who these people are." There are 745 names on the 18-page register.
Al Taqwa president Youssef Moustafa Nada, one of several top bank officials who was put on the U.S. "supporters of terrorism" list in November, also confirmed the veracity of the list. "It is genuine," he said in a phone interview. "You can ask Mr. Nicati [the Swiss deputy attorney general]. He investigated all these things four months ago. The FBI knows since 1997. I talked to them."
Nada has vehemently denied funding bin Laden.
Included on the list are Yousuf Abdullah Al-Qaradawi, the grand mufti of the United Arab Emirates, and five members of his family; Mariam Al-Sheikh A. Bin Aziz Al-Mubarak of a branch of the Kuwaiti royal family; and members of the prominent Khalifeh family of the United Arab Emirates. Sisters Huta and Iman Binladen, who live in Saudi Arabia, and Hassan el-Banna, a leader of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood group, are also listed.
Al Taqwa was a so-called "hawala" operation (an informal word-of-mouth system that keeps no records and relies on trust) that facilitated transfers of cash between agents worldwide. The bank also used correspondent accounts -- accounts that banks have in other banks -- to transmit cash to its agents.
In October, Swiss Attorney General Valentine Roschacher said he'd received names from the FBI and they were being checked, but said no evidence of any wrongdoing had been found. He added, "It's difficult for us to get information." Swiss banks are protected by stringent secrecy laws, and the hawala system makes ascertaining the exact nature of Al Taqwa's transactions even more difficult.
One American law enforcement official who was shown the list recognized names of members of the militant Palestinian organization Hamas, which is on the State Department's list of terrorist organizations, among the shareholders. Additional publicly accessible records show that some of the bank's shareholders are connected to organizations Western intelligence officials link to al-Qaida.

NAZI CONNECTIONS TO THE KHASHOGGI SYNDICATE
By Alex Constantine
Ink-black, old guard fascism is a recurring theme in the present round of
state-sponsored terrorism. On November 7, 2001, Swiss authorities froze all
accounts at Nada Management, a nondescript financial services/consulting
house in Lugano, and stormed the premises. The firm was accused by the U.S.
Treasury Department of laundering funds for al-Qaeda. Officers of the firm
were held for questioning, including Albert Friedrich Armand “Ahmed? Huber,
a retired Swiss journalist and director of the Nada branch of the al-Taqwa
("Fear of God") net - in fact, a symbiotic twin - reportedly founded by
ODESSA banker Francois Genoud (See part V).
Huber was a repugnant study in his own right. On November 5, 2002, Asia
Times printed a thumbnail bio: “Huber [is] a high-profile neo-Nazi who
tirelessly travels the far-right circuit in Europe and the United States. He sees himself as a mediator between radical Islam and what he calls the New Right. Since September 11, a picture of Osama bin Laden hangs next to one of Adolf Hitler on the wall of his study in Muri just outside the Swiss capital of Bern. September 11, says Huber, brought the radical Islam-New Right alliance together.?
Islamism and National Socialism have cursed democracy and shared political
scapegoats since the 1920s when they both emerged as ideologically-driven
political forces to serve their respective elites.
The Arab reflection of Mein Kampf was penned by Hassan al-Banna - founder of
“al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun,? an early incarnation of the Brotherhood - a
“supreme guide? who dwelt endlessly on "the sickness? that has defiled the
Muslem world and threatened to leave it spiritually diminished.
Al-Ikhwan mustered a score of Islamist terror organizations in 1928. The
organization received funding from the Saudis about this time, and in the
1930s Al-Ikhwan established a ligation in Munich to assist in fund-raising
for Adolph Hitler and his National Socialist Party.
At the same time, Lois Battuello says, “footholds were established in dozens
of countries to provide the vital network for al Qaeda. These existing
networks explain al Qaeda's virtual world-wide theater of operations, the
tapping of an existing and buried network, one that relies on word of mouth
and maintains no written records (save plans for attacks on computers).?
The Brotherhood grew in numbers, and by the end of WW II there were a
half-million of them in Egypt alone, with tentacles stretching across the
Arab world. By the late 1940s, the Brotherhood was so formidable that it
vied for power over Egypt. Al-Banna was martyred by the government on
February 12, 1949. His assassination incited a jihad. Sayyad Qutb
(pronounced KUH-tuhb), a propagandist who served up an omelot of distorted
religious instruction and Nazi-style anti-Semitism, assumed leadership of
al-Ikhwan. In the mid-1960s, Ayman al-Zawahiri, still a juvenile, was
recruited into the ranks.
Zawahiri was born to a wealthy Egyptian clan. His grandfather was Grand Imam
at the al-Azhar Institute, the Sunni hub of higher learning. Abdel-Rahman
Azzam, Zawahiri’s uncle on his father’s side, was the Arab League’s
secretary general. In 1974, Zawahiri graduated from the medical college at
Cairo university where his father was on the faculty.
Now, in the Middle East, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was the most
influential Nazi collaborator. Another was Youssef Nada, board chairman of
al-Taqwa on the day the files were impounded by the Swiss federal
prosecutor’s office.2 Youssef Mustapha Nada was the president of the al
Taqwa Bank Group.
Nada, a naturalized Italian, according to Paul W. Rasche in Studien von
Zeitfragen, was “a member of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood and
Jamaa-al-Islamiya, which is directly allied with al-Qaeda through Dr. Ayman
al-Zawahiri.? In 1970, Nada relocated to Saudi Arabia. With an assist from
the Muslim Brotherhood, he “established contact with members of the Saudi
Royal family, and founded a construction company in Riyadh, much the same as
the Bin Laden family. He remained active in Riyadh, and soon founded the
first Islamic bank in Egypt, the Faisal Bank.?
We’ve covered some ground since Part I of this Byzantine account, so recall
the connection of Turki al-Faisal to Mr. Adnan Khashoggi: “... in cahoots
with Sheik Kamal Adham, then director of Saudi intelligence (1963-79),
brother-in-law of King Faisal and the CIA’s key liaison in the Arab world,
Khashoggi founded Oryx Investments.? Oryx was linked by Khashoggi partner
Wallace Hilliard to Huffman Aviation in Florida, home of the flight school
where Mohammed Atta and his fellow terrorists flight-trained (Khashoggi,
part I).
This pulls Zawahiri and Nada and al Taqwa directly into the
Bush-Khashoggi-CIA axis: “The Faisal Islamic Bank of Saudi Arabia is the
head bank of a number of affiliated Islamic Banks under that name across the
Islamic world from Egypt to Pakistan to the Emirates and Malaysia. The head
of Faisal Islamic Bank of Saudi Arabia is former Saudi Intelligence Chief,
Turki al-Faisal [See parts V & VI]. Faisal Islamic Bank is directly involved
in running accounts for bin Laden and his associates, and has been named by
Luxembourg banking authorities in this regard.?3
Those who don’t remember history ...
Even the “mainstream? media has its uses. Nearly all of this has been
reported here and there in the public print. It isn’t a conspiracy theory.
Fascists Genoud, Huber and Nada, by way of al Taqwa, were intimately tied to
Faisal, Khashoggi, Hilliard, Dekkers, Atta ... and jihad!

Lijkt me een beetje raar.
